I loved this book! I give it a definite 5 of 5 stars. I loved the beginning, the middle, and still loved it by the end - which is saying something as it is very long. Smile The main character makes a wonderfully dynamic hero. He is betrayed and wrongfully imprisoned, becomes quite resourceful while in prison, artfully escapes and spends the remainder of the book ingeniously taking revenge on all those who wronged him and rewarding those who helped him. There is the full range of characters: a few with strong moral fiber, self-serving bastards, greedy politicians, cowards, pirates, treasure, schemers, plotters, and even a swashbuckling hero. What's not to love! I would recommend this book to anyone.
